A very good chance. Leopoldo Romo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ambrosio Solustiano in the 14th minute of play. In the 15th minute, Matias Salvator hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to Club Mercedes Corrientes getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Saverio Orain hit a great ball. If Aristides Fidencio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Leopoldo Romo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aristides Fidencio in the 24th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Club Mercedes Corrientes's Matias Salvator got a free kick in the 28th minute. Joel Monte was a little too slow when Oscar Botello got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 37th minute. The score was now 1-0. After 41 played minutes Club Mercedes Corrientes got a freekick which was hit by Saverio Orain. Ambrosio Solustiano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Oscar Botello made a kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Alastair's zone, Geronimo Luar stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Joel Monte came out of the goal and Geronimo Luar tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Oscar Botello came up free with the goalie in the 54th minute, the Club Mercedes Corrientes fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Oscar Botello couldn't finish the play. In the 56th match minute, Alastair was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Constantino Eate to maneuver through the defense. If Oscar Botello had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Oscar Botello came up free with the goalie in the 61st minute, the Club Mercedes Corrientes fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Oscar Botello couldn't finish the play. When the match clock showed 63 minutes, the score became 2-0 when Oscar Botello sped through Alastair's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Joel Monte. 69 minutes into the game, Geronimo Luar cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-0. Joel Monte was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Alastair's Joel Monte played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Justino Lamberto in the 77th minute of play. Saverio Orain fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Joel Monte having to interfere. Matias Salvator hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match. 3-1 became the score in the 93rd minute when Ambrosio Solustiano elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Club Mercedes Corrientes had won after a very even match.
