The audience thought a goal was coming when Timoteo Cuarto got free with Ambrosio Cordario in the 89th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Norberto Casado fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Guillermo Cordeara having to interfere. In the 95th minute, Ovidio Medero reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Ambrosio Cordario. The goal made the score 6-1. When the referee ended the match the Racing Club players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
