Gaspar Giraldo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 8 played minutes Independiente F.C got a freekick which was hit by Ariel Txatxu. An unexpectedly hard shot by Victor Dino in the 16th minute of play forced El Aguacero FC's goalkeeper Justo Goi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ariel Txatxu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Justo Goi having to interfere. Justo Goi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ariel Txatxu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Mauricio Montez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Victor Dino had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Justo Goi stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ariel Txatxu's shot from short distance in the 33rd minute. Gaspar Giraldo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mauricio Montez in the 37th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, El Aguacero FC's Elpidio Cordarrell got a free kick in the 39th minute. Independiente F.C were awarded a corner in the 42th minute after El Aguacero FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Jeremias Izel took the corner. Independiente F.C's Damian Remir was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Justo Goi in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. The Independiente F.C fans' excitement grew in the 42nd match minute when Independiente F.C's Damian Remir looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 63rd minute, Mauricio Montez made a precise shot to the right of Gaspar Giraldo. Independiente F.C's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. In the 66th minute, Elpidio Cordarrell hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Mauricio Montez charged in rather forcefully in the 67th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Mauricio Montez the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. 70 minutes into the game, Independiente F.C's Victor Dino nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Justo Goi made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-2. Victor Dino succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 2-3 in the 75th playminute. Lino Primeiro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Independiente F.C were furious when Silvestre Berart was red carded, 86 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. Reynaldo Bonadona hit a great freekick 98 minutes into the match. Independiente F.C were unable to convert their possession into goals, allowing El Aguacero FC to leave the ground with a draw.
