Juan Gilen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Domingo Claus, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Sportivo FC's zone, Domingo Claus stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Juan Gilen came out of the goal and Domingo Claus tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Emilio Madeo came up free with the goalie in the 44th minute, the Sportivo FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Emilio Madeo couldn't finish the play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Emilio Madeo to strike the kick off in the second half. After 51 played minutes Dock Sud got a freekick which was hit by Victorio Salvatore. In the 57th minute, Eugenio Leheren hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Domingo Claus fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Juan Gilen having to interfere. Eugenio Leheren charged in rather forcefully in the 68th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The supporters of Dock Sud booed when Sportivo FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 83 match minutes in a wonderful position. Laureano Bernebe didn't get a good kick on the ball. After recieving a nice pass, Dock Sud's Osvaldo Tano tried to score from far away in the 84th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Domingo Claus sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The Sportivo FC supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Dock Sud's performance. The match ended with a win for Dock Sud.
