With an extended leg and a bit of luck Lucio Salvator prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a defensive mix-up in No me importa's zone, Fermin Ramos stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Lucio Salvator came out of the goal and Fermin Ramos tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Lucio Salvator stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Norberto Casado's shot from short distance in the 14th minute. When the match had gone on for 15 minutes, Fermin Ramos took a quick shot and it went in 2-0 without a chance for Lucio Salvator to make any attempt to save it. Norberto Casado was extremely unlucky when he, in the 18th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Lucio Salvator took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Norberto Casado, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 24th minute Delmar Laffitte shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ambrosio Cordario saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Lucio Salvator was out of position in the 44 minute of play, and Fermin Ramos capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Fermin Ramos really showed his touch with that goal: 3-0. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-0.

Lucio Salvator didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Racing Club. Racing Club's Zacarias Paublo got a good chance for a goal in the 98th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Racing Club walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
