After a rather tough play, Rincón's Cristo Innocenzio got a free kick in the 16th minute. In the 17th minute of the match Jeremias Izel shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Guillermo Cordeara showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. A collision led to Rincón getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Cornelio Ubelteso hit a great ball. Victor Dino fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Guillermo Cordeara having to interfere. Victor Dino in the 21stth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Guillermo Cordeara, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Gaspar Giraldo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ovidio Medero in the 22nd minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Independiente F.C's Santos Silvanito got a free kick in the 23rd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ovidio Medero in the 24th minute of play forced Independiente F.C's goalkeeper Gaspar Giraldo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ovidio Medero in the 27th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Gaspar Giraldo saved Independiente F.C from getting behind. Santos Silvanito could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 34th minute of the match, but Guillermo Cordeara made a huge save. If Victor Dino had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 41 minutes, Timoteo Cuarto managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Rincón's supporters crossed their fingers, but Timoteo Cuarto was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ovidio Medero fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gaspar Giraldo having to interfere. Victor Dino received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 48th minute. Guillermo Cordeara tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ariel Txatxu to make the kick off. In the 62nd minute Victor Dino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Guillermo Cordeara saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Ariel Txatxu came up free with the goalie in the 72nd minute, the Independiente F.C fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ariel Txatxu couldn't finish the play. After 73 played minutes Rincón got a freekick which was hit by Cornelio Ubelteso. Ariel Txatxu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Guillermo Cordeara having to interfere. Ovidio Medero fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gaspar Giraldo having to interfere. Ariel Txatxu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 97th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. For all the effort they put into the match, the Rincón players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Independiente F.C.
