To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 23 minutes into the match, Timoteo Cuarto notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Samsung's Silvestre Bonadona. Silvestre Bonadona was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Ovidio Medero took the ball and in the 27 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Silvestre Bonadona. Silvestre Bonadona dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. After 30 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. When Cornelio Ubelteso fell near the penalty area in the 37th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Rincón's protests and gave Cornelio Ubelteso a yellow card for diving instead. After 37 played minutes Rincón got a freekick which was hit by Cornelio Ubelteso. Guillermo Cordeara took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rogelio Sazon, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Rogelio Sazon received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Guillermo Cordeara tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Rogelio Sazon was the one to do the kick off. With a little luck, Samsung's Silvestre Bonadona got control of the ball when Timoteo Cuarto tried to sneak it across the goal line. Fermin Delfino hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. After 79 minutes, Romulo Lopes mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Samsung and the Rincón players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 79th minute, one of Samsung:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Samsung. Fermin Delfino walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. Ovidio Medero sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Samsung's Alfredo Chago got a free kick in the 87th minute.
