But to his dismay, Victor Dino quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Gaspar Giraldo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Laureano Bernebe in the 11th minute of play. In the 14th minute Emilio Madeo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gaspar Giraldo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 16 played minutes Independiente F.C got a freekick which was hit by Ignacio Harkaitz. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gogo Orlanda in the 17th minute of play forced Independiente F.C's goalkeeper Gaspar Giraldo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gaspar Giraldo was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 39 minutes into the game, Santos Silvanito was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Independiente F.C's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Sportivo FC the free kick. A collision led to Independiente F.C getting a freekick after 39 minutes play. Santos Silvanito hit a great ball. Emilio Madeo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 42nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When the match had gone on for 46 minutes, Ariel Txatxu took a quick shot and it went in 3-1 without a chance for Juan Gilen to make any attempt to save it.

The wind increased when Emilio Madeo made the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute, Lisandro Lalla hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Victor Dino in the 60th minute of play forced Sportivo FC's goalkeeper Juan Gilen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gaspar Giraldo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gogo Orlanda in the 62nd minute. Laureano Bernebe lost his temper 66 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. In the 65th minute, one of Sportivo FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Sportivo FC. In the 68th minute there was a penalty for Independiente F.C. Jeremias Izel stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Juan Gilen. 4-1. Juan Gilen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Victor Dino in the 71st minute of the match. Lisandro Lalla charged in rather forcefully in the 74th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Lisandro Lalla the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 73rd minute of the game. One of Sportivo FC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Independiente F.C:s goal. The referee gave Independiente F.C a penalty, 76 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Jeremias Izel, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Sportivo FC's Juan Gilen. 5-1. Angelo Pepillo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Victor Dino struck a weak shot in the 89th minute. Juan Gilen didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Independiente F.C. In the 100th minute Ariel Txatxu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Juan Gilen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Independiente F.C were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Sportivo FC for a fine match.
