If Emilio Madeo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Romeo Suarez stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Emilio Madeo's shot from short distance in the 21st minute. Ovidio Beltza's late challenge caught a Sportivo FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ovidio Beltza helped the player get up and apologised. After 28 minutes, Americo Tristan mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Club Atletico River Plate and the Sportivo FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Americo Tristan kicked well hit freekick during the 28th minute of the match. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Emilio Madeo to strike the kick off in the second half. Romeo Suarez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Emilio Madeo in the 51st minute of play. Romeo Suarez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Emilio Madeo, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 95 minutes into the match, Club Atletico River Plate's goal looked a bit too open when Emilio Madeo came free, but Romeo Suarez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
