The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Mateo Hibai showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Horacio Marques in the 5th minute of the match. Ezequiel Delfino made an important save on a dangerous shot by Iker Rico in the 18th minute. In the 19th match minute, La deseada was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by German Eron to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Evelio Alvarez in the 22nd minute of play forced Granate's goalkeeper Mateo Hibai to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 23 minutes into the match, La deseada's goalkeeper Ezequiel Delfino had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Iker Rico. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Aaron Cebrian during the 32nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 32nd minute, Aaron Cebrian hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 33rd minute of the match Cirilo Paublo shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ezequiel Delfino showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Evelio Alvarez received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Mateo Hibai tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gavino Amor's late challenge caught a La deseada's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Gavino Amor helped the player get up and apologised. After 39 played minutes Granate got a freekick which was hit by Gavino Amor. After a defensive mix-up in La deseada's zone, Victoriano Furtado stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ezequiel Delfino came out of the goal and Victoriano Furtado tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. German Eron sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Evelio Alvarez made a kick off. Evelio Alvarez recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 51st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 55th minute, Iker Rico managed to get in a good position for a shot. Granate's supporters rose to their feet, but Iker Rico was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ezequiel Delfino breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After having played for 58 minutes, Evelio Alvarez managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. La deseada's supporters crossed their fingers, but Evelio Alvarez was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 60th minute, Aureliano Romano managed to get in a good position for a shot. Granate's supporters rose to their feet, but Aureliano Romano was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ezequiel Delfino breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Horacio Marques could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 68th minute of the match, but Mateo Hibai made a huge save. After a rather tough play, Granate's Cesar Bastia got a free kick in the 69th minute. Granate's Aureliano Romano got a good chance for a goal in the 78th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Iker Rico fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ezequiel Delfino having to interfere. La deseada's Evelio Alvarez suffered a sore thigh after 83 minutes and couldn't finish the game. Aristides Bidun's late challenge caught a La deseada's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Aristides Bidun helped the player get up and apologised. Aristides Bidun hit a great freekick 84 minutes into the match. Aureliano Romano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Aureliano Romano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
