Sacachispas F.C's Gustavo Teofilio was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Ernesto Batista in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. 28 minutes into the match, Zanjón's Robustiano Bonifaco sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Raul Silbestre narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Zanjón's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
