Leo Rio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aristides Tristan in the 13th minute of play. 15 minutes into the game, Marcos Oihan was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Saltamontes F.C.'s manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Fassi AFC the free kick. In the 14th minute, one of Saltamontes F.C.:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Saltamontes F.C.. The referee gave Fassi AFC a penalty, 16 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Abel Guilabertus, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Saltamontes F.C.'s Leo Rio. 1-0. If Baldomiro Godoy had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 23 played minutes Saltamontes F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Maximiliano Gurutz. When the match had gone on for 25 minutes, Aristides Tristan took a quick shot and it went in 2-0 without a chance for Leo Rio to make any attempt to save it. After having played for 30 minutes, Baldomiro Godoy managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Saltamontes F.C.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Baldomiro Godoy was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Baldomiro Godoy sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Saltamontes F.C.'s Marcos Oihan got his second yellow card of the match in the 43rd minute. The referee ordered Marcos Oihan off the ground. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Aristides Tristan stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Leo Rio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 61 minutes into the game, Aristides Tristan cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-0. Leo Rio was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Saltamontes F.C.'s Leo Rio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Constantino Chano in the 66th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 71st minute, Federico Roderigo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Saltamontes F.C.'s supporters rose to their feet, but Federico Roderigo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Valentin Espiridion breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Aristides Tristan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 74 played minutes Saltamontes F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Maximiliano Gurutz. Leo Rio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aristides Tristan, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. In the 79th minute, Aristides Tristan ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Leo Rio was frozen by the shot and now it was 5-0. Iker Batista hit a great freekick 83 minutes into the match. Federico Roderigo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Federico Roderigo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Valentin Espiridion tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a little luck, Fassi AFC's Valentin Espiridion got control of the ball when Federico Roderigo tried to sneak it across the goal line. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Fassi AFC fans cheered their team off the field, for while Saltamontes F.C. had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
