A beautiful save bye AZ-Racing F.C.'s goalie prevented a goal. Talati's Paolo Demesio got a good chance for a goal in the 12th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 14th minute, Vicente Felipo managed to get in a good position for a shot. AZ-Racing F.C.'s supporters rose to their feet, but Vicente Felipo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Elvio Ishmael breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 15th match minute, Talati was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jose Berto to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 20th minute, Vicente Felipo managed to get in a good position for a shot. AZ-Racing F.C.'s supporters rose to their feet, but Vicente Felipo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Elvio Ishmael breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Jose Rius's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Elvio Ishmael read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 24th minute of play. In the 25th minute Cosme Bibiano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Freddy Lauaxeta saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. AZ-Racing F.C.'s Jose Rius got a good chance for a goal in the 28th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Silvano Filipo fell near the penalty area in the 33rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored AZ-Racing F.C.'s protests and gave Silvano Filipo a yellow card for diving instead. In the 33rd match minute, AZ-Racing F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Silvano Filipo to maneuver through the defense. If Vicente Felipo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Nunez Guerau's late challenge caught a AZ-Racing F.C.'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. AZ-Racing F.C.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Jose Rius was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Vicente Felipo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jose Rius scored 0-1 in the 42nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Elvio Ishmael, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 46th minute, Jose Rius left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The AZ-Racing F.C. fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. After the first half AZ-Racing F.C. were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

53 minutes into the match, Talati's goalkeeper Elvio Ishmael had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jose Rius. Paolo Demesio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Paolo Demesio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cosme Bibiano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Freddy Lauaxeta having to interfere. Cosme Bibiano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Freddy Lauaxeta tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Jose Rius had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Talati booed when AZ-Racing F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 90 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jose Rius didn't get a good kick on the ball. Elvio Ishmael didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for AZ-Racing F.C.. Jose Rius could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 99th minute of the match, but Elvio Ishmael made a huge save. The AZ-Racing F.C. players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
