They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ciriaco Estefan stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Pedro Maidana made a fantastic save in the 53rd minute, when Anier Marko sent off a good shot on target. 56 minutes into the game, Benjamin Pueblo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Desmochado FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Rancagua FC the free kick. Benjamin Pueblo kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. Rolando Ciceron might have been able to make a better finish in the 62nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Hipolito Petrigai. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Hipolito Petrigai took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rolando Ciceron, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ciriaco Estefan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pedro Maidana having to interfere. In the 95th minute, Teodosio Lope got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.
