Spectators: 7252 (Terracing: 5440, Seating: 1668, VIP seats: 144) Octavio Santikurtz made a fantastic save in the 3rd minute, when Jose Rius sent off a good shot on target. The supporters of AZ-Racing F.C. booed when Los Pibes was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 4 match minutes in a wonderful position. Donato Liberto didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Los Pibes's zone, Jose Rius stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Octavio Santikurtz came out of the goal and Jose Rius tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 13 minutes, Americo Bernaldo made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. AZ-Racing F.C.'s Freddy Lauaxeta tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. With a little luck, Los Pibes's Octavio Santikurtz got control of the ball when Jose Rius tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 21 played minutes AZ-Racing F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Silvano Filipo. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Angelo Montrel in the 23rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Freddy Lauaxeta saved AZ-Racing F.C. from getting behind. In the 24th match minute, AZ-Racing F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jose Rius to maneuver through the defense. Vicente Felipo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Octavio Santikurtz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Octavio Santikurtz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vicente Felipo in the 30th minute of the match. Jose Rius received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Octavio Santikurtz came out and tried to block the shot, but Jose Rius slotted it home off the left post making it 1-1 in the 31st minute. After a rather tough play, AZ-Racing F.C.'s Silvano Filipo got a free kick in the 34th minute. Angelo Montrel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Freddy Lauaxeta having to interfere. In the 36th match minute, AZ-Racing F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gogo Gaztea to maneuver through the defense. In the 42nd minute Americo Bernaldo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Freddy Lauaxeta saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Freddy Lauaxeta made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Angelo Montrel in the 46th minute of play. After 47 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for AZ-Racing F.C.! The referee gave Los Pibes a penalty, 49 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Saverio Manni, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of AZ-Racing F.C.'s Freddy Lauaxeta. 1-2.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Vicente Felipo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 57 minutes into the match, AZ-Racing F.C.'s Jose Rius sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Octavio Santikurtz narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 67 played minutes Los Pibes got a freekick which was hit by Amador Iliana. In the 68th minute Paulino Gentza shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Octavio Santikurtz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Los Pibes getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. Ciro Hurko hit a great ball. Zacarias Nalo didn't quite understand what happened when in the 72 minute of the game managed to get a great opportunity for a goal and then missed the goal by a feet. After some fancy dribbling in the 75th minute, Angelo Montrel managed to get in a good position for a shot. Los Pibes's supporters rose to their feet, but Angelo Montrel was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Freddy Lauaxeta breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Los Pibes's Octavio Santikurtz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vicente Felipo in the 78th minute of play. When Vicente Felipo came up free with the goalie in the 80th minute, the AZ-Racing F.C. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Vicente Felipo couldn't finish the play. Octavio Santikurtz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vicente Felipo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Angelo Montrel recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 88th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Zacarias Nalo during the 89th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 89 played minutes AZ-Racing F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Zacarias Nalo. Americo Bernaldo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Freddy Lauaxeta having to interfere. Americo Bernaldo struck a weak shot in the 92nd minute. Freddy Lauaxeta didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Los Pibes. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Vicente Felipo in the 95th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Octavio Santikurtz saved Los Pibes from getting behind. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Los Pibes eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
