The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 5th minute of the game. After a rather tough play, Desmochado FC's Anier Marko got a free kick in the 9th minute. Hipolito Petrigai took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nicanor Ceandro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Nicanor Ceandro might have been able to make a better finish in the 16th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Hipolito Petrigai. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Nicanor Ceandro ran back to his position shaking his head. Hipolito Petrigai acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 19th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Gerardo Gines. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Benjamin Pueblo during the 19th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Desmochado FC's Benjamin Pueblo got a free kick in the 19th minute. Canquel's Simon Galoer got a good chance for a goal in the 23rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Simon Galoer's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Hipolito Petrigai read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 28th minute of play. Arturo Haitz charged in rather forcefully in the 32nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Arturo Haitz the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 32 played minutes Canquel got a freekick which was hit by Arturo Haitz. Baldomiro Rencio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Anier Marko in the 35th minute of play. Simon Galoer sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Desmochado FC's Hipolito Petrigai played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nicanor Ceandro in the 39th minute of play. If Anier Marko had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Flavio Musko fell near the penalty area in the 43rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Canquel's protests and gave Flavio Musko a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Desmochado FC booed when Canquel was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Flavio Musko didn't get a good kick on the ball. Baldomiro Rencio didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Anier Marko went, in the 45th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ciriaco Estefan was the one to do the kick off. With a little luck, Canquel's Baldomiro Rencio got control of the ball when Anier Marko tried to sneak it across the goal line. When Anier Marko came up free with the goalie in the 53rd minute, the Desmochado FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Anier Marko couldn't finish the play. In the 56thth minute of the game Ciriaco Estefan who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Canquel's Baldomiro Rencio was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. With a little luck, Canquel's Baldomiro Rencio got control of the ball when Anier Marko tried to sneak it across the goal line. Anier Marko fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Baldomiro Rencio having to interfere. Canquel's Baldomiro Rencio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ciriaco Estefan in the 78th minute of play. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
