Ciriaco Mambru kicked well hit freekick during the 2nd minute of the match. 12 minutes into the game, Melchor Ranolfo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Club Atletico River Plate's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Cholulo FC the free kick. In the 12th minute, Melchor Ranolfo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Eduardo Monte came up free with the goalie in the 13th minute, the Cholulo FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Eduardo Monte couldn't finish the play. Placido Txatxu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alberto Chorche having to interfere. Ciro Urbez hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. The audience was convinced that Dario Mantzio's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Alberto Chorche was relentless in the 18th minute of the game. In the 21st minute of the match, Dario Mantzio tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Alberto Chorche saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Alberto Chorche came out of the goal in the 22nd minute to try and stop a shot by Club Atletico River Plate's Placido Txatxu. But to his dismay, Placido Txatxu quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. Nestor Ekhi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Laureano Janpier in the 32nd minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dario Mantzio in the 39th minute of play forced Cholulo FC's goalkeeper Alberto Chorche to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 48th minute, Placido Txatxu ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Alberto Chorche was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Dario Mantzio made a kick off. In the 55th minute, Atilano Martinez hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 58 minutes, Atilano Martinez mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Cholulo FC and the Club Atletico River Plate players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 58 played minutes Cholulo FC got a freekick which was hit by Atilano Martinez. Freddy Ekhi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Alberto Chorche tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Placido Txatxu succeeded in the game's 62nd minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 5-0. After 65 played minutes, Club Atletico River Plate's Eugenio Lando shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Alberto Chorche came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Club Atletico River Plate reached it. Cholulo FC's Alberto Chorche played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dario Mantzio in the 67th minute of play. Dario Mantzio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alberto Chorche having to interfere. Club Atletico River Plate's Nestor Ekhi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Laureano Janpier in the 75th minute of play. Laureano Janpier could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 78th minute of the match, but Nestor Ekhi made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dario Mantzio in the 80th minute of play forced Cholulo FC's goalkeeper Alberto Chorche to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Aurelio Eneas kicked well hit freekick during the 82nd minute of the match. When the match had gone on for 84 minutes, Placido Txatxu put it in 6-0 from a short distance just to the right of Alberto Chorche. Alberto Chorche took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Placido Txatxu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. During the 96th minute of the match Melchor Ranolfo completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Melchor Ranolfo a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. Melchor Ranolfo hit a great freekick 97 minutes into the match. Nestor Ekhi made an important save on a dangerous shot by Laureano Janpier in the 99th minute. Club Atletico River Plate's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
