Through an outstanding action, after 19 minutes, Niceto Manex successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Niceto Manex showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dario Mantzio in the 21st minute of the match. In the 32nd minute Jeremias Oinaz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nestor Ekhi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Niceto Manex stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Placido Txatxu's shot from short distance in the 38th minute. After 41 played minutes, Club Atletico River Plate's Valentin Bela shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Niceto Manex came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Club Atletico River Plate reached it. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Club Atletico River Plate had played much better football throughout.
