But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Edgard Montxo couldn't finish the play. After a rather tough play, Riachuelo FC's Jorge Bikendi got a free kick in the 11th minute. Riachuelo FC's Edgard Montxo got a good chance for a goal in the 20th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Narciso Hever took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jeremias Bittor, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Edgard Montxo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 27th minute, Edgard Montxo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Riachuelo FC's Igor Restu got a good chance for a goal in the 28th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 30 minutes into the match, Edgard Montxo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Silverio Tibalt. Charadai's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Edgard Montxo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. In the 33rd minute, Iker Sansone hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in Charadai's zone, Edgard Montxo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Silverio Tibalt came out of the goal and Edgard Montxo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Narciso Hever didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Celestino Piarres went, in the 39th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. Riachuelo FC's Igor Restu got a good chance for a goal in the 47th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Charadai's zone, Edgard Montxo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Silverio Tibalt came out of the goal and Edgard Montxo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ivan Virila made a kick off. When the match had gone on for 57 minutes, Igor Restu took a quick shot and it went in 1-2 without a chance for Silverio Tibalt to make any attempt to save it. If Igor Restu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Narciso Hever showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jeremias Bittor in the 67th minute of the match. In the 71st minute Julian Papo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Narciso Hever saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Riachuelo FC's Edgard Montxo got a good chance for a goal in the 73rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 75th minute, Julian Papo made a precise shot to the right of Narciso Hever. Riachuelo FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-2. In the 78th minute, Edgard Montxo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The supporters of Charadai booed when Riachuelo FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hector Orlan didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 82nd minute Ivan Virila shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Narciso Hever saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Edgard Montxo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Silverio Tibalt having to interfere. Igor Restu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 93rd minute, Anibal Polo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The crowd rose to their feet as Riachuelo FC's Edgard Montxo slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Silverio Tibalt. That made the score 2-3 after 94 minutes of play.
