With a left leg Nemesio Orlo saved Sueldos AFC from getting behind. Carmelo Herrera hit a great freekick 12 minutes into the match. Celedonio Isaio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Mauricio Francis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Sueldos AFC booed when Sao Caetano was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Amadeo Cordarrol didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Sao Caetano's zone, Carmelo Herrera stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mauricio Francis came out of the goal and Carmelo Herrera tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Mauricio Francis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Carmelo Herrera in the 19th minute of the match. Baltasar Gaskon received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Mauricio Francis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 27 minutes into the game, Carolo Panfilo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Sueldos AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Sao Caetano the free kick. Nemesio Orlo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nicanor Nastasio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 33rd match minute, Sueldos AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Celedonio Isaio to maneuver through the defense. Amancio Elivareo hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match. Placido Gonzales's late challenge caught a Sao Caetano's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Placido Gonzales helped the player get up and apologised. After the first half Sao Caetano were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Gonzalo Jordy made a kick off. In the 52nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Sao Caetano's goalkeeper Mauricio Francis, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Amancio Elivareo hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. Celedonio Isaio's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Mauricio Francis read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 61st minute of play. Mauricio Francis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Carmelo Herrera, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. Although Sueldos AFC had been in control for most of the match, Sao Caetano still came away with the win.
