The Ampallo FC fans' excitement grew in the 47th match minute when Ampallo FC's Edgardo Belasko looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After the first half Ampallo FC were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

In the 57th minute, Salvador Cerilo fired a really elegant long shot, but Ovidio Vasco threw himself and managed to get hold of the ball just in front of the right post. With a little luck, Atletico Rafaela's Ovidio Vasco got control of the ball when Silvio Oliverios tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Edgardo Belasko had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 64th match minute, Ampallo FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Salvador Cerilo to maneuver through the defense. If Silvestre Afonso had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ovidio Vasco was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 83rd minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Silvestre Afonso. Ovidio Vasco showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edgardo Belasko in the 94th minute of the match. 95 minutes into the game, Lorenzo Blasi cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Gaspar Estefan was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The Atletico Rafaela supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Ampallo FC's performance. The match ended with a win for Ampallo FC.
