When Leopoldo Gonsalve came up free with the goalie in the 10th minute, the Ceferino Namuncura fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Leopoldo Gonsalve couldn't finish the play. Leopoldo Gonsalve's late challenge caught a Patapufete FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Leopoldo Gonsalve helped the player get up and apologised. Leopoldo Gonsalve kicked well hit freekick during the 12th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Serafino Martinez in the 20th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Maximo Demario saved Patapufete FC from getting behind. Ceferino Namuncura's Cesar Ur got a good chance for a goal in the 21st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Serafino Martinez recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 22nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With an all-out effort, Patapufete FC's Esteban Batista threw himself towards the right post 24 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Victorino Pacorro, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. When Ceferino Namuncura's Serafino Martinez in the 27th minute got a chance for a shot 27th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Patapufete FC's goalie prevented a goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Victorino Pacorro during the 30th minute. After 31 played minutes Patapufete FC got a freekick which was hit by Victorino Pacorro. 32 minutes into the match, Patapufete FC's goal looked a bit too open when Serafino Martinez came free, but Maximo Demario reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some careless play in the Patapufete FC defense, Serafino Martinez kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Maximo Demario. The Patapufete FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Maximo Demario should have stopped the shot. In the 41st minute Serafino Martinez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Maximo Demario saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Leopoldo Edwardo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Maximo Demario tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Esteban Batista made a fantastic save in the 46th minute, when Salvador Chayo sent off a good shot on target.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Serafino Martinez to strike the kick off in the second half. After 51 minutes of play, Patapufete FC's Salvador Chayo made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Esteban Batista was left in no man's land by his defense there! Patapufete FC's Maximo Demario proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 55th minute of the match, managed to save Patapufete FC from getting a goal against them. 57 minutes into the match, Patapufete FC's goalkeeper Maximo Demario had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Serafino Martinez. The nice shot from Serafino Martinez in the 63rdth minute just in front of the goal should have ended in point on the board, but Maximo Demario had a great feel for the game and superbly saved the ball from getting in by the left post. Maximo Demario made an important save on a dangerous shot by Serafino Martinez in the 66th minute. Ceferino Namuncura's Esteban Batista played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Apolo Montez in the 75th minute of play. In the 77th minute Salvador Chayo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Esteban Batista saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A hard and well directed shot from Gavino Muno led 78 minutes into the game to a goal after the ball had bounced deceptively just in front of the goal. Ceferino Namuncura's Esteban Batista became a little unsure and couldn't grip the ball before it was over the goalline. Thus it was 3-1. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Serafino Martinez in the 82nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Maximo Demario prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The supporters of Ceferino Namuncura booed when Patapufete FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 85 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eliseo Ekialde didn't get a good kick on the ball. Cristian Quinton charged in rather forcefully in the 86th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. Many of Ceferino Namuncura's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. Ceferino Namuncura may have spent more time on the ball, but Patapufete FC were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
