Atletico Rafaela's Ovidio Vasco played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Baltasar Gil in the 18th minute of play. Ovidio Vasco showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Baltasar Gil, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. After some careless play in the Atletico Rafaela defense, Hilario Santo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ovidio Vasco. The Atletico Rafaela fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ovidio Vasco should have stopped the shot. When Faustino Restu fell near the penalty area in the 28th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Huracan Malbec's protests and gave Faustino Restu a yellow card for diving instead. Faustino Restu hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. In the 30th minute, Siro Urti got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Lorenzo Blasi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Atletico Rafaela booed when Huracan Malbec was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hilario Santo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Lorenzo Blasi took the ball and in the 43 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Alberto Garaona. Alberto Garaona dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. After 46 played minutes Atletico Rafaela got a freekick which was hit by Baldomero Lauren. After the first half Huracan Malbec were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Baltasar Gil made a kick off. After a rather tough play, Atletico Rafaela's Justino Jurdan got a free kick in the 52nd minute. Hilario Santo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Atletico Rafaela's zone, Hilario Santo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ovidio Vasco came out of the goal and Hilario Santo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lorenzo Blasi in the 61st minute of play forced Huracan Malbec's goalkeeper Alberto Garaona to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 63rd minute, Lorenzo Blasi managed to get in a good position for a shot. Atletico Rafaela's supporters rose to their feet, but Lorenzo Blasi was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Alberto Garaona breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Siro Urti sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With his leg Ovidio Vasco managed to avoid a goal in the 70thth minute, when Huracan Malbec's Hilario Santo fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Hilario Santo took the ball and in the 72 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ovidio Vasco. Ovidio Vasco dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-3. After having played for 75 minutes, Baltasar Gil managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Huracan Malbec's supporters crossed their fingers, but Baltasar Gil was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Huracan Malbec's Alberto Garaona played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lorenzo Blasi in the 79th minute of play. The supporters of Atletico Rafaela booed when Huracan Malbec was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 82 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marcelino Colas didn't get a good kick on the ball. Siro Urti sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. If Baltasar Gil had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Baltasar Gil in the 93rd minute of play forced Atletico Rafaela's goalkeeper Ovidio Vasco to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ovidio Vasco showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Baltasar Gil in the 95th minute of the match. The Huracan Malbec players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
