An unexpectedly hard shot by Geronimo Jerano in the 13th minute of play forced Vander United's goalkeeper Gustavo Uzuri to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Vander United's zone, Apolo Aurken stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gustavo Uzuri came out of the goal and Apolo Aurken tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Apolo Aurken sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The crowd rose to their feet as Intocables FC's Geronimo Jerano slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Gustavo Uzuri. That made the score 2-1 after 24 minutes of play. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ubaldo Justin couldn't finish the play. Intocables FC were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Vander United for a fine match.
