After a defensive mix-up in Gorostiaga AFC's zone, Domingo Berbiz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Vinicio Nahia came out of the goal and Domingo Berbiz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Basilio Manni came out of the goal in the 24th minute to try and stop a shot by Gorostiaga AFC's Gervasio Onbera. But to his dismay, Gervasio Onbera quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. 28 minutes in the game, the ball went up into the seats when Gorostiaga AFC's Gervasio Onbera fired away a shot that was just a little bit too high. He walked away shaking his head. In the 30th minute, Gorostiaga AFC's Arturo Normando ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Basilio Manni. Basilio Manni yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-0. In the 35th minute, Carmelo Cristofol ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Vinicio Nahia was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. Donato Torres's late challenge caught a Churcal FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Donato Torres helped the player get up and apologised. The referee gave Churcal FC a penalty, 41 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Narciso Gomez, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Gorostiaga AFC's Vinicio Nahia. 2-2. Domingo Berbiz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Vinicio Nahia tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 47 minutes into the match, Gorostiaga AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Domingo Berbiz came free, but Vinicio Nahia reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Carmelo Cristofol stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 55th match minute, Churcal FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Florentino Maria to maneuver through the defense. Florentino Maria was shown his second yellow card after 71 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. After 72 played minutes Churcal FC got a freekick which was hit by Florentino Maria. Domingo Berbiz could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 85th minute of the match, but Vinicio Nahia made a huge save. A collision led to Gorostiaga AFC getting a freekick after 88 minutes play. Gervasio Onbera hit a great ball. When Arturo Normando came up free with the goalie in the 96th minute, the Gorostiaga AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Arturo Normando couldn't finish the play. Gorostiaga AFC were unable to convert their possession into goals, allowing Churcal FC to leave the ground with a draw.
