Nicanor Belarmo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gervasio Onbera, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. When DEPORTIVO RAYA's Nemesio Berenguer in the 14th minute got a chance for a shot 14th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Gorostiaga AFC's goalie prevented a goal. 17 minutes into the match, DEPORTIVO RAYA's goal looked a bit too open when Rosendo Pabla came free, but Nicanor Belarmo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 21 minutes into the game, one of Gorostiaga AFC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. When DEPORTIVO RAYA's Nemesio Berenguer in the 25th minute got a chance for a shot 25th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. After a defensive mix-up in DEPORTIVO RAYA's zone, Gervasio Onbera stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nicanor Belarmo came out of the goal and Gervasio Onbera tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Nemesio Berenguer in the 37th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Vinicio Nahia saved Gorostiaga AFC from getting behind. Nicanor Belarmo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Arturo Normando in the 38th minute of the match. Gorostiaga AFC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 43rd minute, when Nemesio Berenguer scored to the left of an out of position Vinicio Nahia, making the score, 3-1. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Nemesio Berenguer stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After having played for 58 minutes, Gervasio Onbera managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Gorostiaga AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gervasio Onbera was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. DEPORTIVO RAYA's Nicanor Belarmo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Arturo Normando in the 60th minute of play. When Nemesio Berenguer came up free with the goalie in the 64th minute, the DEPORTIVO RAYA fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Nemesio Berenguer couldn't finish the play. Nicanor Belarmo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Arturo Normando, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. Gervasio Onbera was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 79th minute. Gorostiaga AFC's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. In the 86th minute Arturo Normando shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nicanor Belarmo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. DEPORTIVO RAYA's Nicanor Belarmo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gervasio Onbera in the 87th minute of play. In the 91st minute, Nemesio Berenguer made a precise shot to the right of Vinicio Nahia. Gorostiaga AFC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-2. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. DEPORTIVO RAYA fully deserved thier win.
