Carmelo Cristofol charged in rather forcefully in the 16th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Carmelo Cristofol the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a defensive mix-up in Churcal FC's zone, Ricardo Dalmau stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Basilio Manni came out of the goal and Ricardo Dalmau tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.

52 minutes in the game, Roque Argi fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Basilio Manni having to interfere. DEPORTIVO RAYA's supporters stood up full of expectation in the 56th minute of the game, when Romeo Jesco after an extraordinary solo performance found himself with a golden opportunity in front of Churcal FC's goal. Romeo Jesco was unfortunally a little to anxious and the ball went outside the goal. 63 minutes into the match, DEPORTIVO RAYA's Ricardo Dalmau sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Basilio Manni narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 67th minute the ball was on its way in behind Churcal FC's goalkeeper Basilio Manni, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Basilio Manni was a little too slow when Ignacio Medardo got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 73rd minute. The score was now 1-4. After 78 played minutes Churcal FC got a freekick which was hit by Carmelo Cristofol. When Ricardo Dalmau came up free with the goalie in the 80th minute, the DEPORTIVO RAYA fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ricardo Dalmau couldn't finish the play. Florentino Maria kicked well hit freekick during the 81st minute of the match. After 90 minutes, Ricardo Dalmau mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the DEPORTIVO RAYA and the Churcal FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to DEPORTIVO RAYA getting a freekick after 90 minutes play. Ricardo Dalmau hit a great ball. In the 92nd minute Domingo Berbiz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nicanor Belarmo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Ignacio Medardo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 98th minute of the match Felipe Astigar shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Nicanor Belarmo showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. The Churcal FC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. DEPORTIVO RAYA were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
