In the 23rd minute, Marco Arias hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Amado Tabor sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Gervasio Onbera had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gervasio Onbera got free with Prospero Martinez in the 40th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Dalmacio Ellande's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Vinicio Nahia read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 43rd minute of play.

The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Aaron Txeru during the 54th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Fierrazo Social Club's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Gorostiaga AFC the free kick. Prospero Martinez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Arturo Normando, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute. When Arnaldo Ruisko got free in front of the goal in the 98th minute he wasn't very focused and chipped the ball just over the goal. Vinicio Nahia was delighted since he was out of position and the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. The Fierrazo Social Club supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Fierrazo Social Club would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
