Vicente Veto recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 38th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Enrique Sandaili sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Mantico FC's Vicente Veto got a free kick in the 46th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 48th minute, Gavino Feliz managed to get in a good position for a shot. Galarza's supporters rose to their feet, but Gavino Feliz was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Modesto Bernat breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Gavino Feliz to strike the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gavino Feliz in the 54th minute of play forced Mantico FC's goalkeeper Modesto Bernat to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The Galarza supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Galarza would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
