Seating: 1657, VIP seats: 143) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Pastor Salamon made the kick off which started today's match. Reynaldo Froylan recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 3rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Julian Markel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pastor Salamon, who was totally free with the ball in the 6th minute. Eleuterio Beila sent away a hard shot on goal in the 9th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Pastor Salamon came up free with the goalie in the 10th minute, the Chelco fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Pastor Salamon couldn't finish the play. A collision led to Chelco getting a freekick after 13 minutes play. Ruperto Paulin hit a great ball. Santos Acevedo's shot from long distance in the 14th minute was not bad at all, but Chelco's Jairo Tipi knew what was happening and pushed the ball into his arms just before it hit the right post. Pastor Salamon scored 0-1 in the 16th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Julian Markel, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 19th match minute, Chelco was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ruperto Paulin to maneuver through the defense. In the 21st minute the ball was on its way in behind Chelco's goalkeeper Jairo Tipi, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Jairo Tipi made a fantastic save in the 29th minute, when Reynaldo Froylan sent off a good shot on target. When Ruperto Paulin fell near the penalty area in the 29th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Chelco's protests and gave Ruperto Paulin a yellow card for diving instead. After 30 played minutes Chelco got a freekick which was hit by Ruperto Paulin. In the 34th minute Eleuterio Beila shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julian Markel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 36th minute, Gavino Feliz got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Ruperto Paulin got his second yellow card in the match during the 37th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. In the 37th minute, Ruperto Paulin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jairo Tipi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gavino Feliz in the 39th minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Galarza's Gavino Feliz slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Jairo Tipi. That made the score 1-1 after 41 minutes of play. Jairo Tipi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gavino Feliz, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Gavino Feliz made a kick off. Eleuterio Beila sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Galarza's Gabriel Milian got a free kick in the 61st minute. A collision led to Chelco getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. Pastor Salamon hit a great ball. Gavino Feliz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Eleuterio Beila during the 76th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Galarza booed when Chelco was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eleuterio Beila didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gilberto Heriberto hit a great freekick 80 minutes into the match. A collision led to Galarza getting a freekick after 87 minutes play. Jaime Lordi hit a great ball.
