Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Rodrigo Magdaleno's late challenge caught a Galle F.C.'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Galle F.C.'s Adolfo Rodas proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 16th minute of the match, managed to save Galle F.C. from getting a goal against them. With his leg Adolfo Rodas managed to avoid a goal in the 26thth minute, when Federal 's Narciso Dabi fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 27th minute, Pablo Chorache got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 28 played minutes Galle F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Ignacio Behe. A collision led to Galle F.C. getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. Sergio Eutropio hit a great ball. Adolfo Rodas was out of position in the 38 minute of play, and Pablo Chorache capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Pablo Chorache really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. After 41 played minutes Galle F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Tiburcio Sedeni. The audience thought a goal was coming when Narciso Dabi got free with Adolfo Rodas in the 44th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Galle F.C.'s Adolfo Rodas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pablo Chorache in the 48th minute of play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Conrado Galindo was the one to do the kick off. In the 53rdth minute of the game Conrado Galindo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Federal 's Norberto Bilbo was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Pablo Chorache received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Adolfo Rodas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Adolfo Rodas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pablo Chorache, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. Pablo Chorache fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Adolfo Rodas having to interfere. Federal 's Pablo Chorache got a good chance for a goal in the 76th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Narciso Dabi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 85th minute, Narciso Dabi made a precise shot to the right of Adolfo Rodas. Galle F.C.'s defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-0. In the 90th minute Gaudencio Nabar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Adolfo Rodas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience was convinced that Pablo Chorache's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Adolfo Rodas was relentless in the 92nd minute of the game. Adolfo Rodas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Narciso Dabi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 95 minutes into the game, Federal 's Pablo Chorache nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Adolfo Rodas made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-0. When the referee ended the match the Federal players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
