Ruben Lalla came out of the goal and Moises Quinteros tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 8thth minute of the game Theodor Torsvik who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Metán's Alejo Ebardo was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. A collision led to Metán getting a freekick after 9 minutes play. Samuel Arias hit a great ball. When Theodor Torsvik came up free with the goalie in the 14th minute, the Cleipole FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Theodor Torsvik couldn't finish the play. 16 minutes into the match, Theodor Torsvik dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Alejo Ebardo, 1-0. Metán's Alejo Ebardo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Blas Chano in the 20th minute of play. Alejo Ebardo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Theodor Torsvik in the 21st minute. In the 23rd match minute, Metán was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Juan Miliano to maneuver through the defense. In the 29th minute Blas Chano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alejo Ebardo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Aquiles Balendin charged in rather forcefully in the 32nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Aquiles Balendin the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Cleipole FC's Aquiles Balendin got a free kick in the 32nd minute. In the 42nd minute Theodor Torsvik suffered a thigh injury and had to be helped off the field. In the 44th minute, Cirilo Iago hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Blas Chano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Alejo Ebardo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 47 minutes into the match, Metán's goalkeeper Alejo Ebardo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Dario Eleder. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Felipe Theodore stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Alejo Ebardo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dario Eleder, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. In the 56th minute, Murat Selim Raşit made a precise shot to the right of Alejo Ebardo. Metán's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. After 61 played minutes Metán got a freekick which was hit by Silvano Cucao. After 63 minutes of play, Cleipole FC's Dario Eleder made it 3-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Alejo Ebardo was left in no man's land by his defense there! Alejo Ebardo dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-0. After some careless play in the Metán defense, Gaston Seme kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Alejo Ebardo. The Metán fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Alejo Ebardo should have stopped the shot. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Cleipole FC fans cheered their team off the field, for while Metán had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
