Spectators: 7082 (Terracing: 5382, Seating: 1650, VIP seats: 50) Stig Blomqvist blasted a shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Arnoldo Guerau having to make a save. 3 minutes into the match, Hawkins's goal looked a bit too open when Stig Blomqvist came free, but Arnoldo Guerau reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 7 minutes into the match, Alvear FC's goalkeeper Tiburcio Otsando had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Arnoldo Lleir. After 19 minutes of play, Alvear FC's Stig Blomqvist made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Arnoldo Guerau was left in no man's land by his defense there! Stig Blomqvist fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arnoldo Guerau having to interfere. If Stig Blomqvist had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Stig Blomqvist in the 32nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Arnoldo Guerau saved Hawkins from getting behind. In the 38th minute, Hawkins's Natalio Christobal ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Tiburcio Otsando. Tiburcio Otsando yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-1. With a little luck, Alvear FC's Tiburcio Otsando got control of the ball when Natalio Christobal tried to sneak it across the goal line. The supporters of Hawkins booed when Alvear FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hector Mikolas didn't get a good kick on the ball. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

After 52 minutes, Arnoldo Lleir made it 2-1 with a short kick to the right side. Alvear FC's Tiburcio Otsando tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Anselmo Oihenarte kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. Hector Mikolas took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 57th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Arnoldo Guerau. Hawkins's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 59th minute, Norberto Urre left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Alvear FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-2. 69 minutes into the match, Alvear FC's goal looked a bit too open when Baltasar Alfonso came free, but Tiburcio Otsando reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Tiburcio Otsando made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Natalio Christobal in the 70th minute of play. In the 71st minute, Hector Mikolas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Tiburcio Otsando came out of the goal in the 77th minute to try and stop a shot by Hawkins's Natalio Christobal. But to his dismay, Natalio Christobal quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-2. When Natalio Christobal fell near the penalty area in the 82nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Hawkins's protests and gave Natalio Christobal a yellow card for diving instead. After 83 played minutes Hawkins got a freekick which was hit by Natalio Christobal. 87 minutes into the match, Alvear FC's goal looked a bit too open when Baltasar Alfonso came free, but Tiburcio Otsando reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A hard shot 94 in the game by Stig Blomqvist from a close distance when the talented Arnoldo Guerau managed to make a qualified save. Hawkins's players were relieved. When the referee ended the match the Hawkins players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
