Alvear FC's Tiburcio Otsando played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cornelio Camerino in the 15th minute of play. When Joaquin Rubio came up free with the goalie in the 17th minute, the HASTA QUE LA MUERTE NOS S fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Joaquin Rubio couldn't finish the play. Norberto Urre's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Matias Abeitia read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 23rd minute of play. After a rather tough play, HASTA QUE LA MUERTE NOS S's Ambrosio Formerio got a free kick in the 27th minute. 30 minutes into the match, Stig Blomqvist notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of HASTA QUE LA MUERTE NOS S's Matias Abeitia. Matias Abeitia was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The supporters of HASTA QUE LA MUERTE NOS S booed when Alvear FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jimeno Llorian didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 43rd minute, Florentino Ekain hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Romulo Iaki received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Tiburcio Otsando tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Joaquin Rubio stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The supporters of HASTA QUE LA MUERTE NOS S booed when Alvear FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hector Mikolas didn't get a good kick on the ball. Cornelio Camerino received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Tiburcio Otsando came out and tried to block the shot, but Cornelio Camerino slotted it home off the left post making it 1-1 in the 54th minute. If Stig Blomqvist had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Stig Blomqvist kicked well hit freekick during the 60th minute of the match. With 62 minutes on the clock, Hector Mikolas commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. In a very dangerous position, a player in Alvear FC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 61st minute. Penalty! In the 64th minute there was a penalty for HASTA QUE LA MUERTE NOS S. Florentino Ekain stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Tiburcio Otsando. 1-2. 67 minutes into the game, Stig Blomqvist cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-2. Matias Abeitia was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 76 minutes into the match, HASTA QUE LA MUERTE NOS S's Cornelio Camerino sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Tiburcio Otsando narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 80th minute Arnulfo Pueblo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Matias Abeitia saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a little luck, Alvear FC's Tiburcio Otsando got control of the ball when Esteban Erroman tried to sneak it across the goal line. Norberto Urre did an outstanding performance 84 minutes into the match, when he by himself got past the opposing team's defense and with a quick scored 3-2 to the right of an irritated Matias Abeitia in the goal. After 88 minutes of play, Alvear FC's Stig Blomqvist made it 4-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Matias Abeitia was left in no man's land by his defense there! Alvear FC's Tiburcio Otsando proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 94th minute of the match, managed to save Alvear FC from getting a goal against them. Arnulfo Pueblo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Matias Abeitia tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 96th minute, Stig Blomqvist ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Matias Abeitia was frozen by the shot and now it was 5-2. Alvear FC's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
