An unexpectedly hard shot by Fausto Pirmin in the 5th minute of play forced Hawkins's goalkeeper Arnoldo Guerau to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Fausto Pirmin's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Arnoldo Guerau read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 9th minute of play. In the 10th match minute, Barrancas FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Enzo Erlantz to maneuver through the defense. The audience thought a goal was coming when Hernan Admon got free with Artemio Baristo in the 11th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Baltasar Alfonso's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Artemio Baristo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 12th minute of play. In the 17th minute Baltasar Alfonso shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Artemio Baristo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Hawkins's Ciro Otsoa got a free kick in the 18th minute. Maximiliano Botello was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 19th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Arnoldo Lleir struck a weak shot in the 23rd minute. Artemio Baristo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Hawkins. With his leg Artemio Baristo managed to avoid a goal in the 26thth minute, when Hawkins's Arnoldo Lleir fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 26th minute, Gonzalo Hibai hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Juan Rius's late challenge caught a Hawkins's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Juan Rius helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Hawkins booed when Barrancas FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Juan Rius didn't get a good kick on the ball. Hawkins's Hernan Admon couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 29th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Barrancas FC. 33 minutes into the match, Hawkins's goal looked a bit too open when Fausto Pirmin came free, but Arnoldo Guerau reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Baltasar Alfonso fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Artemio Baristo having to interfere. If Baltasar Alfonso had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

After 52 played minutes Barrancas FC got a freekick which was hit by Enzo Erlantz. Artemio Baristo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Baltasar Alfonso, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. Arnoldo Guerau made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fausto Pirmin in the 57th minute of play. Arnoldo Guerau made a fantastic save in the 59th minute, when Lorenzo Lluterio sent off a good shot on target. Lorenzo Lluterio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arnoldo Guerau having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 68th minute, Arnoldo Lleir managed to get in a good position for a shot. Hawkins's supporters rose to their feet, but Arnoldo Lleir was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Artemio Baristo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. A collision led to Hawkins getting a freekick after 82 minutes play. Esteban Nazario hit a great ball. If Fausto Pirmin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Fausto Pirmin came up free with the goalie in the 89th minute, the Barrancas FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fausto Pirmin couldn't finish the play. A collision led to Hawkins getting a freekick after 95 minutes play. Ciro Otsoa hit a great ball. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
