The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Santos Jon showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mario Barea in the 12th minute of the match. Santos Jon took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mario Barea, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Hykarios booed when La Romaneta was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ariel Baldovino didn't get a good kick on the ball. Carolo Merexildo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 16th minute of the match, but Santos Jon made a huge save. After a defensive mix-up in La Romaneta's zone, Mario Barea stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Santos Jon came out of the goal and Mario Barea tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. La Romaneta's defense didn't have a chance, in the 20th minute, when Cecilio Porfiro scored to the left of an out of position Santos Jon, making the score, 1-0. Victor Leobardo scored 1-1 in the 26th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ermegildo Pagomari, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Ermegildo Pagomari took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Victor Leobardo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Carolo Merexildo struck a weak shot in the 36th minute. Santos Jon didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Hykarios. Ermegildo Pagomari showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Everardo Velasco in the 39th minute of the match. Benicio Havier blasted a shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ermegildo Pagomari having to make a save. In the 42nd match minute, Hykarios was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Celestino Oalo to maneuver through the defense. When Victor Leobardo came up free with the goalie in the 44th minute, the La Romaneta fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Victor Leobardo couldn't finish the play.

The wind increased when Victor Leobardo made the kick off in the second half. Carolo Merexildo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. Hykarios's supporters crossed their fingers, but Carolo Merexildo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 56 minutes into the match, Hykarios's Mario Barea sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Santos Jon narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 58th minute, Victor Leobardo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Santos Jon stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Mario Barea's shot from short distance in the 64th minute. Victor Leobardo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ermegildo Pagomari having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Victor Leobardo got free with Ermegildo Pagomari in the 69th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 72nd minute, Mario Barea got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Victor Leobardo was extremely unlucky when he, in the 77th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Mario Barea took the ball and in the 79 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Santos Jon. Santos Jon dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. 83 minutes into the game, Hykarios's Mario Barea nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Santos Jon made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-1. The audience thought a goal was coming when Victor Leobardo got free with Ermegildo Pagomari in the 93rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The Hykarios support was delighted with a win in a match that could easily have ended differently.
