After a rather tough play, Riveros's Cecilio Elazar got a free kick in the 7th minute. When Edgardo Pabla came up free with the goalie in the 8th minute, the peloteros F.C fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Edgardo Pabla couldn't finish the play. Tadeo Rey showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edgardo Pabla, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. David Atarratze in the 12thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Gregorio Bela, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. In the 18th minute, Riveros's David Atarratze ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Gregorio Bela. Gregorio Bela yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. David Atarratze sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Cecilio Elazar during the 24th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Cecilio Elazar hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. Serafino Reno sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. peloteros F.C's Gregorio Bela played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wilfredo Sabino in the 29th minute of play. David Atarratze received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Gregorio Bela tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 31st match minute, peloteros F.C was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nemesio Cordarin to maneuver through the defense. Tadeo Rey showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edgardo Pabla in the 36th minute of the match. In the 43rd minute, Edgardo Pabla ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Tadeo Rey was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. The supporters of Riveros booed when peloteros F.C was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 49 match minutes in a wonderful position. Apolo Batista didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Wilfredo Sabino made a kick off. If David Atarratze had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gregorio Bela came out of the goal in the 59th minute to try and stop a shot by Riveros's David Atarratze. But to his dismay, David Atarratze quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. In the 65th minute Edgardo Pabla shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tadeo Rey saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Riveros getting a freekick after 68 minutes play. Gonzalo Pello hit a great ball. In the 71st minute David Atarratze shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gregorio Bela saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gregorio Bela showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wilfredo Sabino, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. David Atarratze recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 78th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Wilfredo Sabino had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gregorio Bela didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from David Atarratze went, in the 81st minute, to the upper right corner, 3-1 was the resulting score. Wilfredo Sabino received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Gregorio Bela tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Tadeo Rey made a fantastic save in the 95th minute, when Serafino Reno sent off a good shot on target. If David Atarratze had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 100th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Riveros fully deserved thier win.
