The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 28thth minute of the game Timoteo Hernandez who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Goicó's Epifanio Gaskon was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Ubaldo Fero recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 38th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Gervasio Bitxintxo to make the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gervasio Bitxintxo in the 52nd minute of play forced Club Atletico Talleres's goalkeeper Gilberto Sadurni to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gervasio Bitxintxo succeeded in the game's 61st minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 2-0. The supporters of Club Atletico Talleres booed when Goicó was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 64 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gervasio Bitxintxo didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Club Atletico Talleres's Saturnino Sasoin got a free kick in the 67th minute. In the 81st minute, Timoteo Hernandez fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Epifanio Gaskon, passed just outside the right post. After 94 minutes of play, Club Atletico Talleres's Jeronimo Dantae made it 3-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Epifanio Gaskon was left in no man's land by his defense there! Goicó's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
