Teofilo Admon's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Epifanio Gaskon read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 29th minute of play. 30 minutes into the match, Goicó's goal looked a bit too open when Maximiliano Raymond came free, but Epifanio Gaskon reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Guillermo Jacob struck a weak shot in the 36th minute. Arnulfo Llanos didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Goicó. AMANSALOCOS CLUB's Arnulfo Llanos proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 44th minute of the match, managed to save AMANSALOCOS CLUB from getting a goal against them. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gervasio Bitxintxo in the 47th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Arnulfo Llanos prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

In the 61st minute, Gervasio Bitxintxo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. A collision led to Goicó getting a freekick after 69 minutes play. Justino Weather hit a great ball. The long shot by Romulo Erlantz in the 70th minute really tested Epifanio Gaskon's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Bernabe Galsino's late challenge caught a AMANSALOCOS CLUB's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Bernabe Galsino helped the player get up and apologised. After having played for 72 minutes, Teofilo Admon managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. AMANSALOCOS CLUB's supporters crossed their fingers, but Teofilo Admon was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Bernabe Galsino hit a great freekick 73 minutes into the match. In the 75th match minute, Goicó was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Guillermo Jacob to maneuver through the defense. Enrique Diagur received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Arnulfo Llanos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in AMANSALOCOS CLUB's zone, Enrique Diagur stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Arnulfo Llanos came out of the goal and Enrique Diagur tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Epifanio Gaskon made an important save on a dangerous shot by Teofilo Admon in the 93rd minute. Gervasio Bitxintxo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arnulfo Llanos having to interfere. The Goicó manager could be seen shouting at his players as they walked down the tunnel after the match. He was clearly angry that they had squandered their superior possession, allowing AMANSALOCOS CLUB to win.
