Gilberto Sadurni took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tomás Beti, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Rosendo Cordarrel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. German Rufo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Timoteo Hernandez in the 33rd minute of the match. Cruzados F.C's German Rufo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Timoteo Hernandez in the 34th minute of play. Rosendo Cordarrel could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 36th minute of the match, but Gilberto Sadurni made a huge save. Tomás Beti might have been able to make a better finish in the 37th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Gilberto Sadurni. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Tomás Beti ran back to his position shaking his head. Gilberto Sadurni made a fantastic save in the 40th minute, when Rosendo Cordarrel sent off a good shot on target. In the 46th minute Tomás Beti shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gilberto Sadurni saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

After 53 minutes, Timoteo Hernandez mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Club Atletico Talleres and the Cruzados F.C players grew even worse after the yellow card. The audience was convinced that Tomás Beti's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Gilberto Sadurni was relentless in the 56th minute of the game. Jeronimo Dantae fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without German Rufo having to interfere. Timoteo Hernandez's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but German Rufo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 74th minute of play. Tomás Beti fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gilberto Sadurni having to interfere. In the 86th minute Rosendo Cordarrel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gilberto Sadurni saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Braulio Camerino during the 90th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Club Atletico Talleres getting a freekick after 90 minutes play. Braulio Camerino hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Club Atletico Talleres's zone, Tomás Beti stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gilberto Sadurni came out of the goal and Tomás Beti tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 93 minutes into the match, Club Atletico Talleres's goal looked a bit too open when Rosendo Cordarrel came free, but Gilberto Sadurni reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 93rd match minute, Club Atletico Talleres was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Saturnino Sasoin to maneuver through the defense. In the 96th minute Rosendo Cordarrel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gilberto Sadurni saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
