One of Arsenal:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Provincial F.C:s goal. The referee gave Provincial F.C a penalty, 15 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Victorio Rito, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Arsenal's Basilio Harkaitz. 0-1. Arturo Tibalt made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marco Ariando in the 41st minute of play. After 44 played minutes Marco Ariando rounded Provincial F.C's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 2-1. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Wilfredo Henric was the one to do the kick off. If Victor Matei had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a little luck, Arsenal's Basilio Harkaitz got control of the ball when Victor Matei tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a rather tough play, Arsenal's Patricio Ruy got a free kick in the 67th minute. Wilfredo Henric fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Basilio Harkaitz having to interfere.
