After having played for 14 minutes, Edgardo Elequemedo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Lonquimay's supporters crossed their fingers, but Edgardo Elequemedo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ivan Jax received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Tomas Quintun tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 19 minutes, Israel Sidro managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. River3 boca1's Nicanor Ebardo got a good chance for a goal in the 27th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 31 minutes of play River3 boca1's Mario Nel was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. After 32 played minutes River3 boca1 got a freekick which was hit by Mario Nel. 39 minutes into the match, River3 boca1's goal looked a bit too open when Edgardo Elequemedo came free, but Tomás Tximitx reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Lonquimay's Ildefonso Lehen got a free kick in the 42nd minute. After a defensive mix-up in Lonquimay's zone, Ivan Jax stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tomas Quintun came out of the goal and Ivan Jax tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Edgardo Elequemedo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Tomás Tximitx didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Lonquimay's Enzo Seber shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 1-0 in the ordered_time% minute. Nicanor Ebardo was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 58th minute. River3 boca1's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. If Ivan Jax had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ildefonso Lehen during the 62nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Ildefonso Lehen hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. Lonquimay's Tomas Quintun proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 63rd minute of the match, managed to save Lonquimay from getting a goal against them. The supporters of River3 boca1 booed when Lonquimay was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 64 match minutes in a wonderful position. Domingos Piearres didn't get a good kick on the ball. Lonquimay's supporters rose to their feet, but Enzo Seber was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tomás Tximitx breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 86th minute Enzo Seber shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tomás Tximitx saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 88 minutes had been played when some careless play by River3 boca1's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Nereo Jokin was slow to take the kick. During this time Lonquimay's players had a chance to rest. When Edgardo Elequemedo came up free with the goalie in the 89th minute, the Lonquimay fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Edgardo Elequemedo couldn't finish the play. Israel Sidro's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Tomas Quintun read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 91st minute of play. River3 boca1's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
