But to his dismay, Jonatan Alvarez quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. If Marcos Cugat had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rodolfo Mundo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Themis Kalomantis having to interfere. Rojo de hudson's Themis Kalomantis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marcos Cugat in the 26th minute of play. Themis Kalomantis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rodolfo Mundo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 30 minutes into the game, Jonatan Alvarez cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Jonatan Cordarrell was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Themis Kalomantis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rodolfo Mundo in the 40th minute of play. After having played for 44 minutes, Marcos Cugat managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Tupungato's supporters crossed their fingers, but Marcos Cugat was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Jonatan Alvarez struck a weak shot in the 47th minute. Jonatan Cordarrell didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Rojo de hudson. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Jonatan Alvarez stepped up to make the kick off in the second half.
