Virgilio Hori showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pablo Montel, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. 20 minutes into the match, Ordóñez AFC's goalkeeper Virgilio Hori had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Tadeo Elequemedo. Halcones FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ordóñez AFC the free kick. After a defensive mix-up in Ordóñez AFC's zone, Pablo Montel stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Virgilio Hori came out of the goal and Pablo Montel tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Prospero Eriz kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match. After 48 minutes, Tadeo Elequemedo made it 2-1 with a short kick to the right side. Ordóñez AFC's Virgilio Hori tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

The wind increased when Pablo Montel made the kick off in the second half. Virgilio Hori showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pablo Montel in the 56th minute of the match. If Tadeo Elequemedo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Ordóñez AFC's Alejandro Estevez got a free kick in the 58th minute. The referee ignored Ordóñez AFC's protests and gave Alejandro Estevez a yellow card for diving instead. In the 66th minute, one of Ordóñez AFC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Ordóñez AFC. Sebastian Torres fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edgardo Pacho having to interfere. Edgardo Pacho didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Sebastian Torres went, in the 100th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-3 was the resulting score.
