Alfonso Luar was out of position in the 12 minute of play, and Guaberto Bastian capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Guaberto Bastian really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. Rigoberto Tercero fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fabian Quinteros having to interfere. 26 minutes into the game, La Patria FC's Rigoberto Tercero nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Fabian Quinteros made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. 35 minutes into the match, La Patria FC's goal looked a bit too open when Guaberto Bastian came free, but Alfonso Luar reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 38th minute, Urbano Oidor ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Fabian Quinteros was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. Rigoberto Tercero sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 44 minutes, Armando Bartuelo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Estrugamou FC and the La Patria FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 44th minute, Armando Bartuelo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 45th minute of the match Hermengildo Delfino shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Fabian Quinteros showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball.

If Rigoberto Tercero had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Urbano Oidor who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 63rdth minute tested the skills of Fabian Quinteros when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After a defensive mix-up in Estrugamou FC's zone, Urbano Oidor stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fabian Quinteros came out of the goal and Urbano Oidor tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Carmelo Venceslao fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alfonso Luar having to interfere. 73 minutes into the game, Astor Prejun was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. La Patria FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Estrugamou FC the free kick. Astor Prejun hit a great freekick 73 minutes into the match. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. La Patria FC had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
