The supporters of Colón de Santa Fe booed when Anquincila was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Julian Corderun didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Anquincila's zone, Rogelio Arce stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Marcos Mergildo came out of the goal and Rogelio Arce tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 35th minute, Cristobal Caitano left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Colón de Santa Fe fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Bonifacio Salvino blasted a shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Marcos Mergildo having to make a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bonifacio Salvino in the 41st minute of play forced Anquincila's goalkeeper Marcos Mergildo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Erubiel Orti stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Marcos Mergildo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristobal Caitano, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. In the 59th minute, Cristobal Caitano fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Marcos Mergildo, passed just outside the right post. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Cristobal Caitano in the 63rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Marcos Mergildo saved Anquincila from getting behind. Fabricio Suero fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marcos Mergildo having to interfere. 72 minutes into the match, Colón de Santa Fe's goal looked a bit too open when Erubiel Orti came free, but Ramon Malvin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Erubiel Orti fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ramon Malvin having to interfere. Rogelio Arce kicked well hit freekick during the 79th minute of the match. If Justino Mincho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ramon Malvin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Erubiel Orti in the 83rd minute of play. Rogelio Arce hit a great freekick 86 minutes into the match. In the 90th minute, Cristobal Caitano got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpected shot in the 93rd minute by Bonifacio Salvino got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristobal Caitano in the 95th minute of play forced Anquincila's goalkeeper Marcos Mergildo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
