When Apolo Obano fell near the penalty area in the 17th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Talacasto AFC's protests and gave Apolo Obano a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Talacasto AFC getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Apolo Obano hit a great ball. 20 minutes into the match, Mangrullo's goal looked a bit too open when Pascual Urki came free, but Delmar Espiridion reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Mangrullo's Lucas Vimaro got a free kick in the 21st minute. Talacasto AFC's Leonides Selmo got a good chance for a goal in the 24th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A collision led to Mangrullo getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. Virgilio Arano hit a great ball. After 33 played minutes Mangrullo got a freekick which was hit by Aaron Bartuelo. After a defensive mix-up in Mangrullo's zone, Leonides Selmo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Delmar Espiridion came out of the goal and Leonides Selmo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Leonides Belo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Raimundo Ponce having to interfere. Mangrullo's Delmar Espiridion played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pascual Urki in the 48th minute of play. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Leonides Belo was the one to do the kick off. Leonides Belo struck a weak shot in the 52nd minute. Raimundo Ponce didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Mangrullo. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pascual Urki in the 54th minute of play forced Mangrullo's goalkeeper Delmar Espiridion to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Leandro Cloyo's late challenge caught a Talacasto AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Leandro Cloyo helped the player get up and apologised. Talacasto AFC's Pascual Urki got a good chance for a goal in the 61st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Leonides Selmo took the ball and in the 63 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Delmar Espiridion. Delmar Espiridion dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. If Fernando Min had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Mangrullo's Delmar Espiridion played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pascual Urki in the 77th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Talacasto AFC's zone, Leonides Belo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Raimundo Ponce came out of the goal and Leonides Belo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Leonides Belo in the 81st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Raimundo Ponce saved Talacasto AFC from getting behind. Thanks to some nice moves Fernando Min could shoot a difficult shot in the 83rd minute, which Raimundo Ponce however easily saved by the left post. Delmar Espiridion showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Leonides Selmo, who was totally free with the ball in the 84th minute. Raimundo Ponce made a fantastic save in the 92nd minute, when Fernando Min sent off a good shot on target. Pascual Urki fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Delmar Espiridion having to interfere. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Talacasto AFC fans cheered their team off the field, for while Mangrullo had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
