When Carmelo Venceslao fell near the penalty area in the 9th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Estrugamou FC's protests and gave Carmelo Venceslao a yellow card for diving instead. In the 9th minute, Carmelo Venceslao hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Leonides Selmo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fabian Quinteros having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Talacasto AFC's Apolo Obano got a free kick in the 23rd minute. A hard shot by Armando Bartuelo from long distance, 24 minutes into the match, got Raimundo Ponce's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Fabian Quinteros made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pascual Urki in the 26th minute of play. Leonides Selmo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Estrugamou FC's Fabian Quinteros played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pascual Urki in the 36th minute of play. Fabian Quinteros made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pascual Urki in the 37th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Estrugamou FC's zone, Pascual Urki stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fabian Quinteros came out of the goal and Pascual Urki tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Carmelo Venceslao scored 2-0 in the 41st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Raimundo Ponce, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Guaberto Bastian sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Pascual Urki was the one to do the kick off. 51 minutes into the game, Guaberto Bastian was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Estrugamou FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Talacasto AFC the free kick. After 51 played minutes Estrugamou FC got a freekick which was hit by Guaberto Bastian. 67 minutes into the match, Talacasto AFC's Pascual Urki sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Fabian Quinteros narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 72 minutes of play, Talacasto AFC's Leonides Selmo made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Fabian Quinteros was left in no man's land by his defense there! A hard shot 77 in the game by Leonides Selmo from a close distance when the talented Fabian Quinteros managed to make a qualified save. Estrugamou FC's players were relieved. A collision led to Estrugamou FC getting a freekick after 78 minutes play. Silverio Mosen hit a great ball. Pascual Urki received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Fabian Quinteros came out and tried to block the shot, but Pascual Urki slotted it home off the left post making it 2-2 in the 87th minute. Leonides Selmo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fabian Quinteros having to interfere. Pascual Urki might have been able to make a better finish in the 94th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Fabian Quinteros. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Pascual Urki ran back to his position shaking his head. Fabian Quinteros made a fantastic save in the 97th minute, when Leonides Selmo sent off a good shot on target. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
