After a defensive mix-up in Colón de Santa Fe's zone, Arnoldo Loi stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ramon Malvin came out of the goal and Arnoldo Loi tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Pascual Urki received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Ramon Malvin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Raimundo Ponce didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Cristobal Caitano went, in the 39th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. Raimundo Ponce made an important save on a dangerous shot by Bonifacio Salvino in the 44th minute. When Pascual Urki came up free with the goalie in the 48th minute, the Talacasto AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Pascual Urki couldn't finish the play. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Cleto Bembe was the one to do the kick off. Raimundo Ponce was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Rogelio Arce charged in rather forcefully in the 66th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Rogelio Arce the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Colón de Santa Fe getting a freekick after 66 minutes play. The audience was convinced that Cristobal Caitano's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Raimundo Ponce was relentless in the 74th minute of the game.
