The referee ignored CA Leones's protests and gave Rodolfo Inocente a yellow card for diving instead. Rodolfo Inocente kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Emanuel Louis got free with Isidoro Dunixi in the 22nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 23rd minute, Dante Merexildo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 30 minutes, Constantino Lartaun mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the CA Leones and the Castaño FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Castaño FC booed when CA Leones was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Constantino Lartaun didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Fidel Nayely came up free with the goalie in the 31st minute, the Castaño FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fidel Nayely couldn't finish the play. In the 33rd minute Feliberto Gumaro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Urbano Haritzeder saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Fidel Nayely had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 37 minutes into the match, CA Leones's goal looked a bit too open when Feliberto Gumaro came free, but Urbano Haritzeder reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Emiliano Veremundo's late challenge caught a CA Leones's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Emiliano Veremundo helped the player get up and apologised. During the 40th minute of the match Rodolfo Inocente completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Rodolfo Inocente a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. After 41 played minutes CA Leones got a freekick which was hit by Rodolfo Inocente. The audience was convinced that Fidel Nayely's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Urbano Haritzeder was relentless in the 44th minute of the game. After 48 minutes, Feliberto Gumaro made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. CA Leones's Urbano Haritzeder tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. After the first half Castaño FC were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Feliberto Gumaro stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After having played for 55 minutes, Feliberto Gumaro managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Castaño FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Feliberto Gumaro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 57thth minute of the game Feliberto Gumaro who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but CA Leones's Urbano Haritzeder was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. CA Leones's Urbano Haritzeder proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 59th minute of the match, managed to save CA Leones from getting a goal against them. In the 60th minute, Miguel Erramu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. A hard shot 62 in the game by Fidel Nayely from a close distance when the talented Urbano Haritzeder managed to make a qualified save. CA Leones's players were relieved. The crowd rose to their feet as Castaño FC's Feliberto Gumaro slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Urbano Haritzeder. That made the score 0-2 after 65 minutes of play. 70 minutes into the match, Castaño FC's goal looked a bit too open when Miguel Erramu came free, but Isidoro Dunixi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Feliberto Gumaro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Urbano Haritzeder having to interfere. When Castaño FC's Feliberto Gumaro in the 75th minute got a chance for a shot 75th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye CA Leones's goalie prevented a goal. Feliberto Gumaro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Urbano Haritzeder tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Miguel Erramu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 84 minutes into the match, Fidel Nayely had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Urbano Haritzeder. CA Leones's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Fidel Nayely was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. Anastasio Gaitano kicked well hit freekick during the 88th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Emiliano Veremundo in the 93rd minute of play forced CA Leones's goalkeeper Urbano Haritzeder to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Fidel Nayely had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Castaño FC's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
